Description
Released in 1998, this 10th Anniversary Tribute Edition celebrates the legacy of N.W.A’s legendary 1988 album Straight Outta Compton — an album that redefined West Coast rap, introduced gangsta rap to the mainstream, and launched careers for Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella.
This P1 53532 pressing was issued by Priority Records during their mid-to-late 90s vinyl run, a period in which most hip-hop sales shifted to CDs. Because of this, vinyl quantities were low, and sealed copies from this era are incredibly hard to find 25+ years later.
Collectors value this edition as:
-
A high-quality 90s analog/digital-era pressing
-
A tribute release from Priority Records’ golden period
-
A sealed artifact tied directly to West Coast hip-hop’s most important legacy
SEALED 90s N.W.A vinyl has become a premium sector of hip-hop collecting.
